Just wondering what people believe might happen to Karl Rove. Without going into politics, I wonder how many people believe that Karl Rove will suffer any consequences for his alleged leak.

It seems to me that several members of the Bush administration have dipped into the cesspool only to come out smelling like roses - will this be the case with Karl Rove?

I couldn't vote because you neglected the planet x option.

All of your options make assumptions that are simply unknown at this point in time.

If he's guilty of a criminal act he will be fired and charged criminally. Whether or not he'll be convicted or plead-out is unknown.

If he's not guilty (my assumption and presumption so far) then nothing should happen to him.

My speculation is that he's not only laughing about this, he's using it to the advantage of Bush. <---yet another failed scandel.

I went for number four.

A grand jury is pretty powerful, and Fitzgerald seems to have the moxy to keep at it. Rove could yet make a mistake and get edged out, but even in that case the result for him would probably be something like what happened to Rumsfeld at the end of the 1970s. Handed some juicy pharmaceutical racket to make millions.
My bet is that he will see out the term.
