Forum's gift to Randi

Girl 6 gave a very nice paper talk about the Forum a few minutes ago, and I wanted to take a moment to post about it. She gave a nice overview (though she didn't mention her swimsuit picture in the picture thread :-) and told everyone to join up. It'll be interesting to see if we get new folks from this.

She also gave Randi the gift from the Forum: a Klein bottle hat and a Moebius scarf! I've attached some pictures, which I'll do over the next couple of posts.

The Meeting has been wonderful, despite the awful news about Columbia. At some future date I'll post my thoughts about it.

I noticed you were scheduled to speak shortly after the Shuttle went down, and being an astronomer you probably have an emotional attachment to the space program. I hope you held up OK.

We had a one-hour break after Randi announced the Columbia tragedy at 10:30 Saturday. He waited until Michael Shermer finished before hitting us with it. *Everyone* was upset.
