Ghost Hunters (http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com/ghosthuntershome.html)

Check out the video of the 'caped-figure' they claim to have captured (Episode 5 - Eastern State Penitentiary). It didn't look like anything to me... maybe a trick of the light if anything at all... or a trick of the snow.

Anyhow - there's some interesting stuff for skeptics to get their teeth into on this
site.

I'd say it's both. There seems to be a window on the right exactly where the "caped figure" seems to appear, and that window is providing a large part of the illumination in that area. Something passing in front of that opening (snow, for example) would momentarily darken that spot and provide the illusion of a dark shape encroaching on the lighted area. Flyng pieces of snow help impart a sense of motion within the shape.

Yeah that was stupid. I still like the one where the sound guy falls on his butt and crys for an hour. When the best edvidence found during the entire first season is a cream puff sound guy how did they get a season two?

At first it seemed like they were misguided but trying to be scientific about it. Then they started using a "real witch" with dowsing rods, a reiki master, psychics, and two dildo deamonologists.

If EMF's, cold spots, and strange noises are proof of ghosts then I live in the most haunted place in America.

There is definitely something there. At first glance it looks like a cloaked figure but it could be something else, though whatever it is is definitely paranormal.

I'm sorry--could you please expand on what you are saying here? It reads, to me, as if you are saying "I don't know what it is, but I know that there is no normal explanation." And, obviously, that is illogical. If it "could be something else", how is it "definitely paranormal"?

Hey, I actually saw a face at the top of the "cloak", looked just like a devil!

I think it's a yo-yo from the netherworld.

OK, seriously it's hard to explain, but I don't think it's a simple trick of light and snow (at least not from the closest sources of light, those two windows which don't seem affected by any obscuring phenomenon). The mistake of course, is to just focus your attention on the "figure" (looks like some random blob to me).

Episode 101- they don't want us.

Sounds like a reptoid to me. :D

They don't just find ghosts, they find Nature Spirits (http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com/naturespirit/naturehome.html) and demons (http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com/demonologyhome.html) too!

Yeah, sure. Just like the ghost pictures (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=56638) you kept us busy with for 8 pages some months ago, and then never posted again in that thread after promising to take more pictures of the supposedly spooky location. I treated you with respect and interest in the aforementioned thread, I'm sorry to tell you that this no longer is the case.

Your logic, "it could be something else ==> it is definitely paranormal" is embarrassing.

Fixed that for you.

I'm terribly sorry about the pictures. But I have to say, I have been extremely busy the last couple of months, which is the reason for my extended absence. I used to have the luxury of sleeping at my job, but I have been moved to another case where sleeping (very well, at least) is impossible, as the patient I have now is on a ventilator. Everytime he coughs, sneezes, gets a drink, or does anything that cuts off his airflow for even a second that damn machine goes crazy--BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!--so I get jolted awake about every 30 minutes. Of course, I have to jump up and run to see what is going on, and I have to suction him about three times a night. It has made me a grumpy person. I am going to cut down to part-time with this job to preserve my sanity. I still want to get the pictures up here, just be a little patient with me.

What do you think the video shows? There is definitely a form there, what do you think it is? I've never seen such dense shadows cast from passing clouds or snowflakes. That is really stretching it for an explanation.

I don't know about the clip you highlighted, but am willing to entertain some of the explanations posted so far. However, what bothered me was a different clip. Click on 'Videos' to the left, and then the 'Rotating Reflection' .

They state that if you look carefully you will see that the camera does not move, but I watched carefully (looking at the wall), and I am completely convinced the camera operator has angled the camera and swung it very slightly to get his effect.

Any other opinions? What a swizz!

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate that. Looking forward to any new pictures you might produce in the future.

Regarding that video, I think it's nothing but a crude fake. Can't see nothing on that video except a blurry black-and-white scene, shakingly filmed off of a monitor, with some figure moving like in a year 1915 movie shot at 18 frames per second and played back at 30 fps ;) No, I have no idea what it is that we see on that clip, but it certainly does not make me think of any paranormal activity.
