I remember reading a satire on the future of the English language, and I'm fairly certain it was written by Mark Twain.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyone know what it's called, and if I can find it somewhere online?

Mr. Twain may have been the finest writer of the English language but I don't know if he had any satires about it.

However, he di have a few comments about "The Awful German Language" (http://www.crossmyt.com/hc/linghebr/awfgrmlg.html)

:D :D

An israeli humorist said it best: if you look at the facts and add to them your or other people's interpretation--you get a serious newspaper report or an essay. If you just write the simple truth, you get satire. Which is what M.T. did with in "The Awful German Language".

Twain also took a pretty funny swipe at French, in which he translated his "Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County" into French, and then back into English.
