Yes, it is something awful.
Reading Rapture Ready posts sadden me. People getting their hopes up high, and then when the "rapture" doesn't happen in their "timeline" they're just set up for disappointment. I've been "waiting" for it since 1969 and it hasn't happened yet. I don't dwell on it because I'm in the "here and now."

I can't stand Rapture Ready, and I'm sure most Christians can't stand these people either. These people live for death, as if all of life in its experiential wonder were just some dull waiting room. You only get one chance at life, you shouldn't blow it waiting around for the world to end.
