But never forget...
This is what all Muslims are taught...from birth...

I'm serious! I have no idea what you're on about. Maybe a link would help? Did a Muslim win the Miss England contest? Is this a bad thing? Does her religion matter?

She's not all that overwhelmingly Muslim if she's in a beauty contest. The mullahs don't like that sort of thing.
My guess is she's mostly English.

The link is horribly dishonest. I clicked on http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/quran/2/index.htm#191
and read 2:191 which obviously applies to the section before it. I think "overkill" pieces like that which stretch for every bad interpretation do more harm than good.

Ryokan...
1. I think the title of my thread makes your first question a bit dim...
2. The point is that it is total 'patronisation' of Muslims...
3. No, its not a bad thing that a Muslim won the Miss UK title...'cept for the blatant, transparent attempt to make every non-muslim in the UK 'accept' that Muslims are all wonderful people..who just love and adore their non-mulsim neighbors...
...err...apart from the fact that every Muslim...no matter where, who or what...are taught the above teachings in my link above...
So...thet next time you go into the store...and see a Muslim...just remember what they are actually thinking about you...whilst everyone else has to kiss their a**es....
Hey...but maybe you think the 'throat cutting' Muslims in the numerous vid clips on the web follow a different Quran...
Well...Thats what the government wants you to think anyways...
No, they all are taught the same teachings, worldwide...the same words..the same hatred...
Lets get things totally, none Bulls*** here...
A Muslim winning the 'Miss England' competition...just after the Muslim terrorist bombings in London...and just when reported race hate crimes in the UK against Muslim's have increased by 600%...
In the UK...just after the bombings, the UK Newspapers were filled with stories, articles and subjects not even worthy of a local newspaper about how lovely the Muslims are....Let alone national daily media...
This whole thing..The Miss England...The constant churning out garbage news articles about Muslims funding creches, libraries...local post offices...etc...
Do they really think that it is going to change the worlds view of the Muslim religion...?
Thats my point...I'm just telling it how i see it...

Some don't but I suspect that is their problem

Probably. Islamic groups are dissliked by the goverment there since they are potential source of oposition.

If a Muslim became miss Denmark, it could result in a civil war. The third largest party in Denmark is a racist one, but I didn't vote for them.
What has happened to the British pride anyway? First you lose all your colonies, then you give the rebels awards and medals? I mean really :p

Drivel! Whoever wrote that analysis of that bit of the Koran lacks basic reading skills. Or is there some part of the word "And" you fail to understand.
And I know plenty of Muslims, thanks. Now f*ck off back to writing for the Sun.

What has religion got to do with nationality or looks ?
...err...apart from the fact that every Muslim...no matter where, who or what...are taught the above teachings in my link above... I was unaware that the the SAB has superseded the Koran as the text of choice for Muslims. I would welcome evidence. I assume using the same logic that all Christians are taught to burn mosques (No. 81 (http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/int/long.html) )
So...thet next time you go into the store...and see a Muslim...just remember what they are actually thinking about you...whilst everyone else has to kiss their a**es....
What are they thinking about ?
Hey...but maybe you think the 'throat cutting' Muslims in the numerous vid clips on the web follow a different Quran... may be you think the murdering Christians in numerous clips on the web follow a different bible.
Well...Thats what the government wants you to think anyways...They want you to think about the number of Muslims in the world. If they were all throat cutting murderers then we would be looking at 1.3 billion people going round killing. Where are the bodies ? The government wants people to look at things in perspective. It appears in your case they have failed.
No, they all are taught the same teachings, worldwide...the same words..the same hatred...I am sceptical, please provide proof that hatred is taught. That your interpretation is taught.
Lets get things totally, none Bulls*** here... I agree, and you happen to be full of it.
A Muslim winning the 'Miss England' competition...just after the Muslim terrorist bombings in London...and just when reported race hate crimes in the UK against Muslim's have increased by 600%...I don’t see the relevance.
In the UK...just after the bombings, the UK Newspapers were filled with stories, articles and subjects not even worthy of a local newspaper about how lovely the Muslims are....Let alone national daily media...
This whole thing..The Miss England...The constant churning out garbage news articles about Muslims funding creches, libraries...local post offices...etc...{/quote]
I still don’t see any relevance. Are you suggesting that because of the bombings we should not vote a Muslim woman as Miss England ? The bombers came from Leeds, Should Miss Leeds be disqualified ?
[quote]Do they really think that it is going to change the worlds view of the Muslim religion...? I think when choosing Miss England they did not take her beliefs into account, but would welcome any evidence to the contrary.
Thats my point...I'm just telling it how i see it... If you replace Muslim with Asian you would have a pretty racist rant. Now I am against the proposed religious hatred bill. I think we can defeat religious with intellectual logical argument. Reading your illogical tripe I am now questioning whether the bill does have a place.

The link is horribly dishonest.
I agree.
I've started a thread for discussing SAB.
This is what all Muslims are taught...from birth...
http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.c...n/int/long.html
My parents are Muslim, I wasn't taught that.
SAB is routinuely debunked in this forum. It seems that there are plenty of atheists that are close-minded, uncritical thinkers.
SAB is like those creationist sites that quote Darwin saying "To suppose that the eye could have been formed by natural selection seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree." in order to show that even scientists don't believe in evolution. Those that fall for SAB's tricks are as dumb as creationists that believe Darwin didn't support his own theory.
See the thread I started for examples.
As for the woman that won...
She speaks six languages. That's all I've been able to find out about her rather than her background.

Being a poster at SAB I have to disagree. Steve (the site's author) has regularly changed things according to objections by Christians and non-Christians alike. If it really bothers everyone here so much then OBJECT WHERE IT MATTERS (i.e. on the forums or directly to Steve). Talking about the SAB as if it wasn't being created by some actual person but by some remote automaton doesn't achieve anything. Plus the SAB attempts to take a literaltist view of the Bible VERY PURPOSELY because of those who hold the KJV as inerrant and most likely literaltists. It's as I understand where Steve came from so it's hardly unsurprising he deals with what he knows. It's a bit unreasonable to expect every possible permutation of Christian interpretation of the Bible to be minutely examined in every detail through each and every verse especially when it's just one guy doing it. I don't know what you people really expect from him.
So instead of bitching why not lend your talents and help him improve it?

A good argument, to which I have only one answer: "I'll try and do as you say"

I've just posted a clarification in the other thread, where I changed my interpretation of sura [5:51] So I understand that it can sometimes be difficult to cover all the bases. But why make claims unless you're sure of them? That is slapdash and lazy. If he can't adequately cover the Bible, why not just pick one part of it rather than over-extending himself further by covering other religions?
Anyway, I'll try the forum at SAB
