Here is my effort this morning on the
Sunrise TV show here in Australia. (Windows Video - 13mb)

I think I got the better of 'Psychic' Simon Turnbull.

Great clip - but I am still amazed how people can believe this bs. This Simon guy looks thoroughly convinced that what he is saying is actually true.

You came of as the sensible one willing to believe if proof was presented, whereas Simon seemed rather reluctant to admit that there could even be scam artists amongst the psychics.

The fight continues - keep up the good work

You certainly came across well.

I wonder how he tests the "legitimate psychics" that appear in his magazines? Shame there wasn't time for you to dig deeper on that one.

Richard, you came across well, indeed, but I think you could have been more aggressive. I know, it's easy to say this from the sidelines, with hindsight, when you -- not me -- are the one putting yourself out there on TV!

When the topic of psychics solving crimes came up, you could have said that there is not one documented case of a "psychic" helping police through "psychic" methods, and then talked about how on a major case in the U.S., for example, 10 or 20 different "psychics" might throw their guesses into the hat, and if only one of them is vaguely correct ("the body is near water") , that will be claimed a "success," ignoring the 19 misses.

But I must say, good job, and keep up the fight!

You really cannot make such long points in this sort of show with being cut off. I was cut off half way through my cold reading... I gave Simon 2 minutes, but I would have been the one seen as rude if I cut him off...

But I did get him to agree with me and I did totally surprise the hosts when I said psychics might be real. I also make a stong point about being ripped off.

Not bad for 8.20am on a Sunday. :)

Aggressive looks bad on TV. Keep your cool and stay on topic.

But I'm interested in these remote viewing roll-eyes. What did they say about remote viewing? Was it Psi-Tech or StarGate?

I caught it the other day on TV, you came across well, just the right tone. I think the other guy was counting on you coming over all self righteous or over aggressive so that he could sound the reasonable one, but I think you kind of took the wind out of his sails.

I loved the faces you were making during the 'pyschics' turn to talk. I would have asked him to prove it right then and there. You're telekinetic? Great, move my pencil. Good at remote viewing? What's in my bag? ect. But then, I'm obnoxious with people like that (so I'm told ... I try not to be), and I probably wouldn't be asked to be on tv for that reason.

I think you should have asked him why he brought up "intuition" when he was supposed to be talking about psychic powers, as if he could not tell the difference between the two. Of course this whole interchangability issue would have opened up a whole can of worms...

He's not rolling his eyes. He's watching tennis on the ceiling.

As good as it is to have a skeptic on TV, I would have prefered Richard spent more time not being interrupted every third of a sentence. ;)
