"The only thing worth securing, if we are seeking security, is securing freedom. And we must not abandon freedom in the pursuit of security."

This, according to the Washington Times, was said by John Ashcroft. Of course, his actions to the contrary show him to be just another lying Republicrat, but I tghought it was interesting he actually said it. Here's the whole story, but WARNING: do not drink anything while you're reading it.

He's not just about freedom and liberty, but protecting the rights of the accused and obeying court orders and the rule of law.

Oh darn, I had already eaten some spicy food when I read the article....I'm hurling now...
