Makes you feel all warm and cozy inside...

CNN.com article (http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/04/21/captive.women/index.html)
John T. Jamelske is charged with kidnapping, rape, sodomy, and sexual abuse of a 16-year-old he allegedly locked in a basement bunker of his upstate New York home for six months.
...
Officer B.M. Damon told prosecutors that Jamelske spoke to him "freely and unsolicited," telling him how much he liked the young woman 50 years his junior. Question is, did she actually consent to living with him at first, then change her mind? It seems as though they've been in public quite a bit over the past six months.

Strange indeed. The last time my stomping ground made the national news, it was the teacher that described sex acts to his students. What's up with this area, anyway? Must be something in the water (or the smelly snow (http://www.randi.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17285)).

Edited to add: Gah! Man bites dog! (http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/Northeast/04/22/offbeat.manbite.reut/index.html), CNN's really picking on us today!

I have a problem with these potential witnesses

[quote]In the days since the case was made public, at least three other women have come forward claiming they, too, were held as sexual slaves by Jamelske -- some for a year or more. [/quote.]

A year or more and they didn't report it?

Another question is, was she of the age of consent. If she wasn't, it doesn't really matter.

It's a sexual fanatsy for many women into BDSM. Some of the women with this fantasy forget that the other person may not be so romantic about their fantasies and are just sick and dangerous people.

I can see how embarassing it would be for a woman (or a man) who was all into having a little fun at first and then ended up being held captive for real would be reluctant to report the man.

The BDSM fantasy is seen as a very sick fantasy to have by a lot of people; so to admit this is why they were at his house in the first place is very humiliating.

Urk, lets see he kidnaps her, deprives her of food and water and tell her he is going to kill her family if she runs away.

GET REAL ANYONE WHO BELIEVES SHE WILLINGLY STAYED!

This is 'purposeful terrorism' and it is well documented as a mind control tactic, those who want to know more about the matriarchal vision(Phthb JK!) should check out any reputable source on domestic violence or brainwashing.

Actually, isn;t that the only question?? The age of consent, in NY, is 17 years old & she is clearly underage.

I think he has a major problem.....
