Hearing that yet another actor has been chosen to play James Bond got me thinking about the buddha and thier teachings.

There is no self: all that there is is transitory, so the self is an emphemeral illusion placed upon an everchanging world.

The 'self' is much like the character of James Bond, there is an illusion of continuity but the actor changes. The body changes ecery moment, the mind changes every monet, perceptions change, feelings change and habits change.

The 'you' that wakes up in the morning is not the 'you' that went to bed, the actor changes but the role remains the same. There is no self.

The Bond is dead, long live the Bond?

Or maybe, they're going to announce that James is really a Time Lord.
