In 1998, Abdullah led commandos in storming the hideout of gunmen who had killed eight people, including the charge d’affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Jordan. As a result, King Hussein promoted him to major general.


I have seen the footage of him emerging from the building. I think he can take care of himself.
