View Full Version : Ask Kilick a Question

Post any direct question you have for Kilick here.

I ask that the moderators observe this thread and request that Kilik provide direct answers to direct questions (unless of course they pertain to his private life or some such).

If Kilik posts a single link, I request that the moderators remove that post.

He must address the question in his own words.

First question:

Why does it matter that ancient cultures built structures aligned with astronomical (or astrological, rather) observations? What does this prove?

Wouldn't it be easier to just use a magic 8-ball?

Only instead of "Yes," "No," "Outlook Hazy," and the rest, we just put in "Hancock showed that the pyramids are a direct reference to 10,500 bc," something about precession, etc.

His posts do tend to look as if they were made by some sort of context-based bot.

Dang it. You took my question

Barely even context-based.

Hey, I've got an idea. Let's see if Kilik passes the Turing test...We'll code a perl script with the relevant spamformation ("precession of numbers," 10,500 bc, Hancock said ____, etc) and see if people can tell which is Kilik and which is the script. :D

It means there is or was a lost culture of astrononmer priests who influenced many cultures

Again, without posting links and in your own words:

Why is that necessary?

If everyone shares the sky, and the sky behave exactly the same for everyone, wouldn't you say that most cultures, regardless of their geographic location, cultural differences, or historical context, would reach similar (or even exactly the same) conclusions about cyclic events?

Why does there need to be a lost culture of astronomer priests??

Kilik - have you ever watched the television programme Stargate Atlantis?
Are they on the 'right lines' regarding Ancient civilisations?

Hey! It's not a magic 8-ball if you get the same answer every time you shake it!

It must be a magic 1-ball then.

No magic at all, he's just an 8-ball by itself.

He's not magic and they said he's a 1-ball, which can be simplified into "ball".

If you don't agree with Kilik's style, argumentation process (:)) or points, could you perhaps ignore him?

In the good tradition of "Stop Feeding The Troll"?

"What crazy theory do you not believe in?"

Oh surely there must be at least one, has s/he expressed an opinion on the moon landings, JFK, 9/11, David Ike's lizard overlord theories?

No fun!

I simply WANT a civilized discussion. If I see someone posting in an illogical, destructive, flaming or continued incoherent way, I try to throw him/her a bone or two. If s/he does not get it, I devote my time to posters and threads that conduct a productive conversation.

You may of course behave and act differently. Please take a minute to think about devoloping the ability to outdo your "opponent" with good points and arguments.

Of course, sometimes - like in the ID discussions - the best arguments don't mean diddly squat. :D

Then you may consider heading somewhere else. Try. Fail. Learn. Try again. Succeed. Improve.

Like B.A. Baracus would have said: "I pity the fool who derives self-esteem by mocking other people's ways." (..fade in theme music...)

Humorless.

Look, I think the guy's off his rocker, and I think it's very obvious that we'll never get anywhere with him. And until he gets banned, he's an endless source of entertainment.

Believe me, it's no "victory" for me to belittle him.

But it sure as hell is easy.

Do you see the contradiction in this statement?

Nope. Basically I said: he's crazy, we're not going to change his mind, but it sure is fun to see what he comes up with next, I'll enjoy it until the mods ban him.

Again: "I pity the fool who derives self-esteem by mocking other people's ways."

I pity the fool who can't enjoy a good woo-woo from time to time.

I surely DO enjoy YOUR "wooish" argumentation.

Thanks for your continued ignorest. :D

Oh surely there must be at least one, has s/he expressed an opinion on the moon landings, JFK, 9/11, David Ike's lizard overlord theories?

well, he;s just linked together Scientology, Prozac, Columbine and 9/11.

http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?p=1248374#post1248374

He didn't say who was really behind turning our kids into murderers by giving them SSRIs, so I am assuming that it's the Lizard Overlords, who where also behind the JFK assination, and faked the moon-landings.

Some prize quotes from the OP of the tread I linked to
"You know, scientology is probably fake and not ancient, but I bet it is right about some things and has got some facts"

and

"You know, Columbine wasn't such a bad thing. Did you know Eric HArris knew 911 was going to happen and just wanted to help his country?
Actually I'll look for even more good deeds like Columbine, because it was planned out, it wasn't random, but I disagree with killing kids, thoug it's better than nothing."

But atleast it was only one Link in the OP, and no pictures, so he may have taken something on board from his critics. :D

Alright, alright. Olive branch.

I feel that as long as he is going to inundate the forum with goofy links, pictures, and his unique brand of silly, we might as well let him know that his ideas and "theories" are open to critique, peer review, and yes, ridicule.

Myself and a few others on this forum have demonstrated the belief that continuing to argue with him may eventually wear him down at most, and at least make for a good laugh.

You are of the opinion that he's a waste of time and we ought to leave him be.

Fair enough. You don't need to bother with him, that's your right.

Upon further review, I agree with your attitude of wearing someone down by arguing with this person - and using their own methods against them. Happened to most of them: the elementalist, nicolespiese, naughtyrasputin, etc...

I just had some beef with your intent of poking fun at kilik - or someone similar. I basically understand what steams your beans.

Hey, I have to contribute something "productive" to this thread. :)

Here goes: Kilik, why did you enter a skeptic forum with the points and issues you brought up?

You don't have to answer me, just to yourself. Use your inside voice.
