Nothing particularly interesting other than the artwork seems different and God appears to have developed a photoshop lighting effect on his head.

Chick.com has had a redesign -http://www.chick.com/default.asp (http://www.chick.com/default.asp)

Isn't "Mom" the same person as Mrs Hen, the horrible cratchety teacher? When did SHE get laid?

Seems a particulary weird story, even for Chick. The two parts seem poorly connected, somehow.

All she gets laid is an egg.

I didn't think it was "finders keepers" in diamond mines in South Africa.

Why isn't he cured by a miracle from God?

It's "Henn", not "Hen", and no, that's not Mom. Just evidence (as if we needed any) that the artist is somewhat limited in talent.

Is that Chick's artwork or the other guy?
Did God decide to give JTC photoshop?

A story about a diamond and then a badly fitted in standard "god died, HELLFIRE!" bit, Jack appears to have run out of ideas.

I think the argument is that the turd of a comic you are being handed is really, really valuable... somehow.

I'm interested in this whole movie-like review of your life where everyone will watch and know why God is keeping you out of heaven...Hmmm...hope they have popcorn.

My own take on Chick Tracts...

I hear that the diamond mine operators check all your body orifices when you check out. I doubt he'd be able to sneak that one through. Maybe in a box of Baby Ruth nuggets.

PatKelley,

Where is that panel where they promise to drop charges, if the guy will merely listen to a pastor?

Since when does a sermon trump justice?

That was a total tangent. Mr. Chick is getting senile. Also, "Dad" looks more like a fat seal than a human being. Creepy.

It's been a while since I found that one, but note that the Pastor (the fellow with the triangle on his garment) has a Chick-Demon wrapped around him...
I did find this (http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0023/0023_01.asp) where kidnapping charges are dismissed because the criminals are now her brothers...felony assault and domestic violence dismissed after a week (http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/1001/1001_01.asp)...But darn if the one I quoted is online anymore...

Ah, got it. Thanks.

Does Jack Chick drink a lot of Maalox?

Errr... I don't remember the Sodomites actually trying to have sex with the angels. Where did that come from?

Errr... I don't remember the Sodomites actually trying to have sex with the angels. Where did that come from?Well ...

Genesis 19.5
And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

Apparently "know them" is litterally in the biblical sense ...

What I meant was, where do they go further than a threat?

PatKelley

I wonder if Jesus "knew" this other guy (http://www-user.uni-bremen.de/~wie/Secret/letter-engl.html)as well, or whether "the kingdom" has another meaning...

I think Chick is losing his touch. That's one boring tract. I had a couple ideas that might improve it.

One has to do with honesty:

Hello all. Couldn't help but notice the "Chick" thread and had to reply. I used to belong to a VERY fundamental church when I was a child, and these tracts(or whatever) were virtually required reading. Scared me to death to read them; they were always filled with hell and damnation and suffering of the non-believers.

I'm have more sense nowadays...

Why damnation? Why eternal? Why are some folks exempt from damnation for murder (the villian who goes to heaven for accepting christ) while some have no such reprieve (abortion doctors, or persons who get abortions)?

Good lord, it's Sen. Rick Santorum. I think I'm going to puke.
