As far as I can tell you are supposed to hold them in your hands and they provide some kind of magical healing that "comes from the Spirit World, not the human world":

The High Density Healing Card is our smallest full potency healing instrument. It is a 2 face laminated business card size (2" X 3") instrument with the full potential of our larger instruments. We call it the "Lil' Wonder." It provides the initial healing and can be used for physical and emotional balance. The Life Card comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. These products have not been evaluated by the (Food and Drug Administration). These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

These products are advertized on their site as "Donation Requested". According to Rick Ross' Cult Info. Site (http://www.rickross.com/reference/gentlewind/gentlewind2.html) the suggested donations for GWP "instruments" can range from $450 to $7,600. Hum - a lot of money for a plastic card.

But hey, they're helping people in distress. Just look at these pictures of traumatized victims (http://www.gentlewindproject.org/news_old.htm) from around the world benefitting from their trauma cards. Those cards must be a great relief to them.

And then there's the claim the whole Gentle Wind Project is a cult. The people behind the rival Winds of Change (http://www.windofchanges.org/) claim they were financially exploited and made to engaged in sexual rituals with Gentle Wind's inner circle. Gentle Wind has filed a defamation lawsuit in federal court against Winds of Change.

Has anyone heard of these nuts before?

Yep - I know of a woo that was convinced of this "Gentle Winding" and went along to a few sessions by people running a "Gentle Winding" roadshow. However, now he thinks it is "very dangerous" and to be avoided at all costs. Unfortunately, this is not because it has had a dose of common sense and can see that it is a pathetic scam, but because he thinks that it is dabbling in bad energy! Woo woo! :rolleyes:

As long as you have a vaguely rational brain, then I think that the only dangers involved are:

you will lose money if you fork out for this crap
you prove how stupid you are if anyone finds out that you think it has any effect at all.

Oh, Kittery. As someone who used to live near there, I would have expected more. They seemed more pragmatic than most coastal towns.

I feel the need to go check out their operation when I'm back there next month. Think they'd be interested in applying for the challenge?

On the Gentle Wind site, go under the "Help & Support" tab and look at "Quick Fix".

I don't know what's more entertaining, the fact that they think their simplistic and mostly woo woo ideas for revamping the educational system are useful or that they think the entire educational system could be overhauled as a "quick fix".

It’s the “cult” claims that I find even more bizarre. We’ve all seen woo woo BS like this before, but usually the money making aspect is enough for the jokers who are selling this stuff. Seems like they wouldn’t need cult-like practices as well, or am I wrong? Has anyone heard of their cult-like activities? 1. Those 3-D multicolor fonts are all Word Art from Microsoft Word.

Gentle Wind Project has shares something with Scientology: it will resort to litigation to silence critics. GWP is currently suing two former members who have been crusading against this group for the last several years. Their website makes for a fun read.

They claim to be able to project the "mental healings" and claim responsibility for the fall of the former Soviet Union. They believe all sorts of funs stuff and I know that the FBI, IRS and Attorney General for Maine have alll taken an interest in this group and its practices.

As one of the remaining defendants (and a former “woo-woo”) in Gentle Wind Project’s lawsuit, I’d like to thank you for the fascinating opinions and humor in this thread. We’ve learned that laughter is the very best medicine when one is being sued, and are grateful when it’s offered in such abundance!

It seems that you’ve already found the website for former members of Gentle Wind Project -- Wind of Changes -- through other postings here. Our stories are included there.

Presently, we’re waiting for a decision on the Federal claim (RICO) in the lawsuit filed against us and others by Gentle Wind Project.
