Just wanted to post a link to AN commentary concerning the war. It's overall very interesting but very leftist/anti-war.

One of the latest ones concerns how our troops are looting Iraq.

Another on how the media is silencing anti-war portests.

Another on how the US used chemical weapons in Baghdad.

http://www.thedeepdark.com/atheism/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2931

and how the US is blocking medical aid in Iraq:

Also there is talk of a "Bush-Nazi connection", anyone know what that's about exactly?

From one link about 'chemical weapons'

Yes, that is the truth; Baghdad has been battered with chemical bombs and bombs carrying highly combustible depleted uranium. The website www.bbcarabic.com presents a detailed account of the type of weapons and ammunition used in the current war.

Chemical bombs? oh sure! since bombs must by definition contain explosives which are by definition chemicals!!!

Highly combustible depleted uranium????
DU is about as combustible as concrete.

I tried to respond to this topic five times yesterday, but the forum was acting up. So I just cut and pasted my reply to a Word document so I could try again later. Here is what I said:

DM, there are too many individual topics to tackle all at once, but some of them have been addressed on here in the past few weeks. Especially about the war protests. Do a search for "workers world party" if you want to read them.

As for "chemical weapons," I just can't take anyone serious who thinks a MOAB qualifies as a chemical weapon. And they drew just short of qualifying depleted uranium weapons as "nuclear weapons." Puh-lease!

Under their terms, ANY weapon could be a chemical weapon if you call gunpowder by its chemical name.

Let's see. The medics. Not safe to land a civilian plane. Somehow they see this as a sinister plot to prevent kids from getting medicine. This is one of my pet peeves. I get very angry at the image some people seem to have of U.S. troops.

Four soldiers get caught stealing and that translates to "our troops are looting Iraq?"

Not a lot of critical thinkers over at AN, eh?

As for Bush-Nazi connections, you'll have to ask Wayne Grabert.
