View Full Version : Recent New Species?

Have there been any new species that were “created” in recent times?
How would science determine that that species was indeed new, and not simply one they haven’t come across before?
I would love to say to a creationist, “Well, where did the [insert new species here] come from? Did the designer make it without anyone knowing 3 years ago?”
Thanks!

Well, let's see. Take a look at this article (http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.html), which should give you a nice starting point. Page also includes a very visible link to more observed speciations.

That would certainly be a way to falsify ID.

That would certainly be a way to falsify ID. No, it demonstrates that the designer (blessed be his holy name) is still designing.
He's getting pretty good at beetles, don't you think?

NO! They'll never replace the old volkswagen!

No, they would simply say that ID has no problem with microevolution. Even if those fruit flies, plants, etc. are different species, they are still fruit flies, etc.
