Whatever your view, Im not gonna drag into politics. There are lessons to be learned in all these things. I am just paying my respects to the people who died.

(had I wanted that I would have posted in P&CE)

You thought a war had nothing to do with politics?

A_U_P. Here's your chance, come on, get your "Rubbishing Manual" out, take this oppotunity to take, what was a simple statement of sympathy and respect, and turn it into a cheap political showcase.

Go on. And to be honest If I had posted what I wanted to say this would be in the Flame wars section.

And you may like to attack my view on WW1...but hang on you can't can you? You dont know my view do you? You simply choose to imply something with your single line response.

The ANZACS were sacrificed at Galipoli. It was a great tragedy. I am unsure what the controversy is.

My controversial questions revealed! Only £2 pcm inc p&p!!!!

Why do the antipods give such weight to gallipoli bearing in mind it wasnt a great success?

Who thinks that antipods and liberal democracy in general stood to lose nothing if imperial Germany had won WWI?

A few days ago on the Reuter's site, I watched a video clip of the Aussie special forces taking over the Iraqi air base. All had their faces covered. I'm assuming that these fellows need to preserve their identities, because they do a few things out of uniform from time to time.

Some day we'll hear a few more details about these clever soldiers who did so much behind the scenes in Iraq.

I think tonight I'll rent Gallipoli and have a pint in celebration of Aussie daring-do.

To call Gallipoli 'daring-do' is incredibly ignorant. Slaughter of the ignorant is more like it.
