NEW YORK (AP) -- Authorities in Los Angeles have arrested an executive with rap music label Murder Inc. on federal firearms charges.

They need to take out the Kingpin........WILL SMITH!!!!
Looks like the guy probably didnt have a gun licence. He's not a rapper by the way.
Mostof these arrests alwasy revolve around licence issues. Just get a damn licence to carry already!

The article isn't very informative, but: Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a carry license in NYC? Unless you're a buddy of the police, local politicians or a celebrity the chances are somewhere between 0 and nil.
You see, NYC is what's called a "may-issue" city. This means that even if you satisfy all the requirements for the CCW the government will only issue you a permit if it decides that you have a valid reason to carry. Ironically, self-defense is normally not a good reason for a permit. This is another example of why we are somewhat cynical about licensing and registration schemes. More info on this here.
