Are most of the people who were against the war, also leftwing and opposed to current Israeli policies.

These things are somewhat ambiguous so for the purpose of this poll I have provided some definitions. Some of you may find it difficult to figure out what camp you are in. For the purpose of this poll you can't be in the middle. you must pick one way or the other.

right/left - right ranges from - probably vote Republican more often than Democrat, can still be opposed to a lot of republican ideas all the way to beyond JediKnight.

left ranges from - vote Democrat most of the time but don't agree with all democratic views to flaming communist let's nationalize everything, power to the people.

pro/anti war - your view before the start of the war, you might not have opposed it once it started or after it ended. For this poll only your view before the war counts.

pro/anti Israeli Palestinian Policies - pro means you at least favor policies of Sharon government but might favor even a harder line. Anti ranges from throw all Israelis into the sea to you generally favored Israeli policy but now think Sharon has gone too far.

Edited to add:
If you don't think any of the options even approximates your views can you explain why. I didn't expect many people to pick that box and now it looks like the early votes are going there. Maybe this poll is just lame.

Well this poll is going the way I expected, sort of. I expected most of the folks on the left, to be anti Israel (at least to the point of thinking Sharon went to far and opposed to the war.

I also expected most of the people on the right would be in favor of the war and be pro Israel at least to the point of thinking that Sharon was doing the right thing.

I was surprised to see how many people picked the no option approximates my view selection. I'm not sure what their thought was. I expected almost nobody to pick that and just put it in as sort of a control for people that thought the poll was confusing or people that just felt they were too down the middle to pick one side or the other. But still, I didn't expect nearly this many and I would appreciate it if somebody that picked the no-option-approximates-my-view selection would explain why.

I was also happy to see that there is at least one other person in this forum that would pick right, anti-Israel Palestine policy, and pro war besides myself, I suspected there weren't many of us. If you happen to read this could you tell me who you were. I'd like to say hi.

I also noticed that a lot more people looked at the thread than actually took the poll. I was sorry about that, there haven't been enough people that took it to make the results very reliable. I suppose this is just one of those topics I was interested in and few others. Anyway thanks to those of you who took it.

And to Nasarius, I think the answer is yes, I'm just not sure how.

No option comes close to be entertained as my personal view.

This was my selection. I set a position on issues on a case by case basis. I do not consider myself either right or left wing. Ask me a question about a particular issue, and I will give you an answer. However, overall, you may find my views scattered on pretty much any end of the political range. Same things with anti-pro war. I felt the goal of the war was worthy, but I was not sure the justifications for it and the timing of it were good. Israel is tougher- I find myself consistently on the pro-Israel hawk camp on this board. However, I feel that is because there are many misrepresentations and unfair attacks on Israel by some posters. Outside of that, I disagree with many Israeli policies towards Palestinians, and am mostly a dove.

I'm not sure if any person's views on all those topics can be so neatly categorized. I tend to agree with renata - issues can be more complex than just "I'm left/right, so I always think this way".

I am anti Iraeli oppression, I am anti-Palestinian terrorism. I am leftist and anti-war.
