View Full Version : Acorah heckled by comic

A manchester comedian posted this on their forum:
Last week I went to see Derek Acorah live. Twice (dont ask how this happened). The second time I saw him, I was so annoyed at his second guessing everything and only picking on little old women I had to say something. Near the end of the show, he asks if anyone has questions. I got the mic and asked him who Kreed Krafer was (snip link) and he went mental. Red in face, shouting at me, making the 2000 strong crowd boo me while a 5 minute long arguement ensued. I only wish Spider could have got it on his phone. He was livid.
Would almost have been worth the admission fee.

Which comedian and which forum?
It's customary on here to provide a source where possible.
Sounds really funny though. :D

Here's the link to the newspaper article that talked about him being exposed by one of his co-workers. (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tm_objectid=16303507&method=full&siteid=94762&headline=spooky-truth--name_page.html)

...At this rate I'll have my fifteen by Christmas. Nah, you'll get them faster than that. Head over to Forum Community... :D
Thanks for the story, btw. Derek's such a maroon.

Just go to Religion and Philosophy and look up a chap called "Iacchus". You'll have your fifteen by tomorrow.

If he's going to try talking to Iacchus, he'll have his fifteen tonight. Of course, he'll go mad by tomorrow... :p

Well, he COULD rack up his post-count inconsequentially in The REAL Thread that Will Not Die. ;)

"Red in face, shouting at me, making the 2000 strong crowd boo me".
Unfortunately, that's what tends to happen, from what I can tell. It was not at all a victory for scepticism, quite the opposite. As usual, the messenger is blamed.

Can I suggest that the impact is always more "dramatic" in your favour if you can make the audience laugh at the target, not snarl at you. Perhaps just encourage him to make ever increasingly ridiculous statements in front of his audience by pretending to agree with him, until it becomes obvious to all that he is way over the edge and is actually a raving nutter. Then it's HIS problem, not yours, because you never disagreed with him!

Tricky,
Are you seriously suggesting that ANYONE here would bump up their post count by entering into a "discussion" with Iacchus? Oh, c'mon. That NEVER happens.

Congratulations, Ryan! I presume this was at Newcastle? I managed to read snippets of the story on the Living forum but they were quickly whisked offscreen by the mods.
I wonder if you could possibly confirm what exactly Acorah said please? Some of the comments suggested that he said that Ciaran had been sacked for being disloyal, and selling a false story to the press.

I love watching "Most Haunted" as entertainment. But when I found out it was Ciaran O'Keefe who hoodwinked Acorah, it totally made my day.
Kreed Kafer indeed.
