Not that that completely does away with the relevance of the song. There are still nutty fundy republicans in congress, and it would seem that Helms has not addressed two of the requests set forth by the song:

a) Taking that punk @$$ b*tch Strom Thurmond with him and
b) Hurrying up and dying.
