I come to this forum because it is for sckeptics and maybe you can help. There is a book by James Bamford called Body of Secrets (http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/DailyNews/jointchiefs_010501.html). It apparently says that there are documents which say the capitalists were planning to bomb their own people to justify a war with Cuba.

Normally I think it could be true but it all sounds outrageous. Does anyone know if the primary source documents exist? Has it been debunked yet? I come here knowing you have the minds which can tell me what is true and what isn't.

No replies. Does that mean Operation Northwoods was true?

7000+ google hits but the few I looked at were breathless re-reporting of what the book said.

You are having as much luck as I then. I wonder if this document truely does exist.

This (http://www.infowars.com/shuttle.htm) page puports to have a link to the download of the document but it doesn't work for me yet. Alex Jones looks like a very funny man though. I wish too that the governement were behind the blow up of the Colombia but I think it was just a matter of a faulty heat shield. :)

Doesn't Bamford have a list of sources in the back of the book? I'll have to drag it out to see.

I almost hate to bring it up, but Bamford was dragged through the coals on this forum for his take of the USS Liberty bombing. It's probably fair to say that anything in his book should be dealt with at least a bit of skepticism.

Here (http://cointelprotool.blogspot.com/2002_12_01_cointelprotool_archive.html#86199191) is some interesing information on Northwoods. You have to scroll down a bit, although the first part is interesting as well.
