from the link:What I stated is not just my opinion or story to me but a fact in my own life experience. To most others it may only be opinion or story "to them." For those who have not experienced something so extraordinary, you can't just go believing it. Remember that just because you have not experienced something, does not mean that nobody else has either.

As for proof, I have no proof and never have claimed to. I resent being put on the defensive to correct false statements made against me. I just share my experience in an appropriate place in an appropriate manner, and allow others to do the same, without badgering or insulting them, whether I agree with them or not.

I also do not appreciate the suggestion that I am delusional. Nothing in this conversation in this forum warrants that.
Sounds like Iacchus.

I wonder, do such people use the same form when writing up their claims?

Dear Anyone Who Will Listen,

Good news everyone! I am god's messenger/have been visited by aliens/can see the future/have magical powers. I had an encounter/experiance that cannot be explained by science! Nevermind that I've never even sat through a science class, or know he difference between electricity and gravity, I call everything I can't understand "energy".

Now, let me spend several paragraphs explaining how I was chosen/learned I had this power. When I'm finished, I'll explain away not being able to prove anything by saying that god doesn't want to be tested (even though that would win a lot of converts)/the aliens don't think we're mature enough (When we become as mature as they are, we'll probe the nether regions people we kidnap and evicerate cows too!)/my predictions require "interpreation" (even though a string of lotto numbers is quite explicit)/my magical power won't work when faced by critics with "bad vibes" (True. They don't work at all).

Don't say I'm delusional! I refuse to admit the possibility that I may be delusional, because my groundless and easily disproven claims are perfectly reasonable.

There is a federation of advanced life. I know because I have been taught about it by the alien races that visit Earth. Yes, really.

I can't believe she said "Yes, really" in this day and age on the internet.

Holy crap, is that what Iacchus is saying? I've never been able to get anywhere near that far before his convoluted verbage turned into wordswordswords bereft of meaning. Does he actually have a recognizeable claim in there? Is there a cliff-notes version?

I can't tell. If only everyone would use the form.

That link made interesting reading. None of them, with one exception, sounded especially bright but what got my attention was Earthsister who really did remind me of Iacchus and SpiderJ who seemed to be the smartest of the lot and actually seemed to possess some critical thinking skills. Tempting to invite the guy over here.

I'd like to join this federation of aliens, so long as I don't have to undergo any probing or suchlike! :)

Uh, we're already here. And I'll go gentle on you with the probing if you like.

Oh bugger! - I've let the secret out...

So which one of you "rude", "offensive", "provocative" people was posting as Spiderj(erusalem)?

Sometimes I wonder just how possible it is for someone to truly believe the stuff that EarthSister does without some sort of serious mental disorder. Assuming that she actually believes all that dren and isn't just attention-mongering.

I can't believe I didn't catch the Transmetropolitan reference!
