Not a creation of 'The Left', but of a leftist. I would point out, however, that the right has been pretty keen exploit misery of the the Iraqi people equally.

Along with the removal of WMD, the concern for the people of Iraq was put forward as one of the main reasons for the war. I don't believe either excuse.

Completly different. WMD and the plight of the Iraqi people were reasons to justify the removal of saddam hussien. These "trading cards" are a cheap attemp to show how "evil" the US and George Bush is.

Who are you referring to when you say "your" agenda? Certainly not me. Please be specific when making accusations.

You haven't noticed any 'cheap' tactics from the US side, and you work in advertising?

If you have not already - read The New Thought Police by Tammy Bruce. Excellent!

Indeed. What this person has done is much worse than actually causing the deaths of innocents.
Does it count as "whoring" if your "agenda" is to make people aware of the horrifying realities of war? I don't know. Maybe it's just honesty.

"The anti-american left has no class"?
:rotfl: That's a really funny, if unintentional, pun!

The big word here is IF. IF their goal was to make people aware of the realities of war, it would be acceptable. (You would have to be astoundingly ignorant to be unaware of the realities of war, but that is a different discussion.) But no-where on this web site does it state that as being their goal. And judging by the insensitive and sarcastic nature of the trading cards, I would say their goal is demagoguery and propaganda.

I wondered how long it would be before someone made a 'disarmed' joke about that poor kid :(

I've seen websites that sell shirts saying "Fucq Iraq" and the like.
Then there's that country guy who sings that "Have You Forgotten" song. He's basically making a name and cashing in on peoples emotions with the war and 911. You dont think all the money hes making is going to charity do you?

Nah, not even close. I suppose it would be the same thing if right-wing sites sold t-shirts with dead Iraqis pictured on it, with something like "Mess with the best, die like the rest' as the caption. Tasteless, shockingly dehumanizing, and just deeply wrong. I suppose 'taste' or 'class' isn't something that can be neatly defined, but one knows it when one sees it. The above site ain't it.
