Well, I wish I were posting that we'd all be attending TAM. Alas . . .

But we will be having a pretty cool meeting right here in Syracuse.

You may have heard a program on NPR recently about how science museums are dealing with the evolution/creationism "controversy." At the Museum of the Earth in Ithaca, New York, they train their docents to deal with this issue and have published "Evolution and Creationism: A Guide for Museum Docents," available online in pdf format. CNY Skeptics is pleased to host a talk with the museum's director.

"Evolution and Creationism: What Everyone Needs To Know."

I could attend that talk!!! I suppose I will :)

And I'll probably even be over my jetlag by then.

So Wednesday night is covered. Now for some stuff to do during the other couple of days and evenings.

You and your damn Wednesday meetings, Skeptrix! I'd love to come, but it is usually hard for me to get up to Syracuse during weekdays.

Hmm, we'll have to see how it goes.

OK, exactly how big is New York? When I said I'd be in the area I meant that I'll be a bit closer than 3000 miles away, in the US, and in the state, but after checking the map it appears even Washington D.C. is closer than Syracuse.

I'm pretty sure I had a thread about being in New York during that time, and it's in this forum. I guess I'll have to drag it back from the dead ...

OK, exactly how big is New York?

Syracuse is only a 4 1/2 hour drive from NYC!

I'll actually be in the city from Sunday afternoon until Wednesday morning, so if there's a get together I may be able to make it.
