I'm glad to see Paul Martin stepped up.
HOWEVER, I smell a rat. I think it was a setup in that this riding (as the article states) is a traditional Conservative stronghold, with the 61% of the vote going to the Conservative MP (who is retiring) last election.
1300 votes just seems like too little to make a difference (1300/116000 = 1%)
I think this was orchestrated to show how moral and upstanding the liberals are. I think they threw away this guy.
