Why do you have to bring things like this up? HMMM maybe I should pray and ask God to let the next earthquake hit there? Just kidding I would not ask for that to happen...but it could??
This is something I had posted to another thread on another website ... One time when my inlaws were visiting I mentioned the storm in Cancun...and why hurricane Katrina hit where it did? Because it really made me wonder?? My father in law got upset to even think that I could think God may have willed that to happen to those places and people. But look at those towns , very big party places and it seems sometimes that is not a random act when God allows those types of things to happen in certain places. Just my opinion guys. I would never wish that any would have to suffer like this?
But I always have to ask....Is God telling us something when things like natural disasters and things happen sometimes to others...I do think God allows things for a reason. Maybe even just to try to get some peoples attention?
I find it very promising that both Kathy and Pat, two very preachy christians, agree that Gunderscored is to blame for these random act of childmurder and childabuse(killing their parents).
I therefore feel everyone must come together and take a stance.
Gunderscored was the one that denied us the apple of truth, the apple of knowledge.
Gunderscored was the one that punished us for seeking enlightenment.
Therefore i can only conclude that Satan, who have will give you strength within, and power to controll your own life, is the rightfull way to turn.
Sincerely
A Barstard Commie.
Yes, i've never been baptised, and thank Satan for that.

She really said that?
What a wicked woman.
Satan can't be that bad, if these people are his opponents.

Why New Orleans and not Las Vegas?
Why most of New Orleans and specifially not the French Quarter, which is the biggest party place in New Orleans?
Even a semi-defensible Goddidit explanation needs to be able to answer those two questions.

Yes, of course, except for that.
What, BTW, was outlined before the big bang? Who outlined it and where might I see this outline?

Strawman. I'll throw in appeal to authority on that too, since you didn't cite anything.
Now mind yourself, you're acting the fool again.

God has nothing to do with anything ... except of course what was outlined prior to the Big Bang. Which is exactly like saying "God owns no land ... except of course what is located south of the South Pole."

Now mind yourself, you're acting the fool again. No, what I'm saying is that according to you folks, there is no-one to blame. So, what's the big deal? Perhaps we should just be greatful for what we've got ... whatever the hell that is? :D

Look out my boy, you're in danger of becoming lucid.
That's right, there is no one to blame.
So, what's the big deal? Exactly!
Perhaps we should be greatful? Greatful to who? Maybe a better phrase might be: Consider yourself fortunate

You fools. The explanation for everything you can't understand is really simple:
God works in mysterious ways.
Yep. That's it.

Satan can't be that bad, if these people are his opponents.
Does that mean Hitler can't be that bad, since Stalin was his opponent?
Also, what kind of a lame opponent is Satan really? He's simply doing all the dirty work of punishing the people God doesn't want to deal with.
No, I'm afraid we really only have the Big Bang to blame for such things. ;)
Well, if there is no God, that's of course true in a way. But then no one claimed the Big Bang to be omnibenevolent or even a thinking entity.

Fine, that inspired me to include the best bit of misheard lyrics I've had lately to my signature. (From "Deathklaat" by Six Feet Under.)

That's exactly how I live now.
Whatever I get, I got it myself.
Whatever I lose, I lost it myself.
My life is guilt-free, I still behave morally just as I did as a Christian, and I no longer am near-suicidally depressed, nor do I wonder what I did that made "God" hate me. As soon as I took responsibility for my life, I felt totally renewed and have been happier than I've ever been. The only one to blame or credit for my life is me.
And it feels great.

Presumably, God's thought process went something like this:
"Hmmmm. People aren't paying enough attention. I think I'll send this hurricane and disrupt the lives of millions and slaughter thousands in hopes they'll start paying attention to my message, which I deliberately offer exactly no proof of because I want them to believe without proof, and, worse, I allow to be mightily confused and contradictory as espoused differently by every manner of legitimate and fraudulent priest."
I hereby claim Yahweh is a psychotic murderer on an massive ego trip.
