when jesus said this.
i think he was trying to define an answer to "who am i?" question, for all individuals.
more of a philosophical and phsychological discription, put in simple terms for the people of those days. perhaps it is enough for the minds of now days.
who am i?
'I' am the Past, Present AND The Future.
I am who!
still doesnt answer who I am though...
since we are all PAST, PRESENT and the future.
guess thats why we have names...
If a picture paints a thousands words
how can i paint me~^^
words will never show~
...
...
personally i prefer the theme song for TV show "Greatest american hero"
does anyone know the words to this song?
i can't remember much of it.
the part i like is,when the sone leads upto this bit.
....~
....~
Believe it or not
Its JUST ME~

Wow, a biblical reference, some pop psycology babble, an impossible time paradox and a very bad Bread song! Very impressive. What kind of mushrooms were those?
(Pillory? I think we've found you a friend.)

uh Tricky? I believe the theme from The Greatest American Hero was by Joey Scarbury, not Bread.

Yeah but that's not what it is. (http://www.lyrics007.com/Bread%20Lyrics/If%20Lyrics.html)
Yeah, he changed "you" to "me", but otherwise it is word-for-word.
The GAM theme song went something like
"Believe it or not, I'm walking on air
I neve though I could be so free."

Christian, no...
Picker? Well I mostly strum, but I can pick a little.

Well, they say they do anyway. Pat Robertson doesn't exactly sound like the loving, forgiving type.
I was just trying to be humorous, 10001. You have to admit that your Opening Post (or OP) was, shall we say, a little like free verse. Pillory (http://forums.randi.org/search.php?searchid=109400), another poster here, has a similar style.
so...
what does this mean...
It means we joke and cut up in here a lot. I am sorry if I offended you.

jokes are good.^^
being cut up is ok too.
thats what makes this site all the more interesting.
we can talk about everything.. just about...
and you can be sure that there is some one who will answer you...
wether it be nice or not is really ... who cares...
it is more of a prob when no one talks to you.
and it adds to the fun.
thanx

Did Jesus say 'I am the past, present and future'?
That sounds like a saying from someone who doesn't know what day it is.

I think he means this:
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
Revelation 22:13
Sheesh, it is bad enough to give us a sermon, but at least the passages should actually exist.

It is a fun site, for the most part, and we do talk about everything.
I get the feeling, 17 (Do you mind if I call you 17 for short? It is what your binary name is in base 10) that perhaps English is not your first language. Certainly there is nothing wrong with that. But please be forewarned, that if you post unconnected ramblings, people are going to joke about you. If you are okay with that (like Pillory is) then continue doing what you do. It can be fun to read.
And don't take the insults seriously. Like any forum, there are some mean people here, but mostly they are pretty nice, if irreverant.

Yeah, but Darat is the one to watch out for. He has power. See how he banished your other thread to the "Forum Community" folder? He's a ruthless bastige. Also, he misspelled your name.

Hah! You're talking to a geologist here. You think you can crystallize my truth with a single word? You are indeed serpentine.

We really need to fix you up with Pillory. If you're not a woman maybe you could be gay for a while, that would be so perfect. The universe does not come together like this very often.

who am i?
'I' am the Past, Present AND The Future.
It is an interesting point though - can I be defined as the same individual who went by my name 10 years ago?
Will I exist 10 years from now as anything more than memories in an alien body? (That is the body of the person that I will "become" in ten years)
One wonders. Certainly looking back at myself ten years ago, there are very many differences. If that person that this one coexisted we would not be taken as the same person by anyone, even ourselves. We would disagree, argue, and enjoy each other's company - even being surprised by each other.
While we would probably understand each other quite well, I couldn't read his mind, nor he mine.
Legally, we are the same person. Genetically, identical. But the physical matter that makes up our bodies (how does one parse tense when two different tenses are in use at the same time?) is different. The organization of our minds is different. I can see some ways in which we can be said to be different people.
But I'm still responsible for his actions, and future Roboramma is responsible for mine.
Ah, well, it's all just meaningless metaphysics anyway.
