Islamic Leader Calls for "International Day of Anger"

the BBC announces that the head of the International Association of Muslim Scholars has called for an "international day of anger" about the cartoons. It did not name this scholar, or tell us who he is. He is Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi. According to Ken Livingstone, the Mayor of London, Qaradawi is like Pope John XXIII for Catholics, "the most progressive force for change" in the Muslim world.

Yet if you look up Qaradawi's pronouncements, you find that he sympathises with the judicial killing of homosexuals, and wants the rejection of dialogue with Jews in favour of "the sword and the rifle". He is very keen on suicide bombing, especially if the people who blow themselves up are children - "we have the children bomb".

As the article says, when these guys have a "day of anger", how can you tell the difference?

You have suggested a causal link between the actions of Westerners and the burning of embassies. Therefore, what you actually mean is:

(1) Burning down embassies is a legitimate form of protest.
(2) Muslims are animals who have no free will.
(3) You are a racist.

This decision is final. No statement you make concerning your opinions will be taken into consideration, 'cos I get to decide what you think, 'cos I have Magical Superpowers.

I think they spent that day of anger when they burned down the Danish Embassy. How about a new idea? How about a day of anger for perverting Islam? When is the last time you've seen a protest against Islamic extremists? It just seems to me that the word "responsibility" doesn't translate well into arabic.
