In a separate thread (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=52315) I mentioned that my employer's Sport'n'Recreation centre is offering various sCAM treatments including Iridology. Their claim is that iridology allows them to 'detect imbalances in body tissue' (whatever that means) and can 'help determine nutritional deficiencies'. Now I'm quite aware that the underlying theory of Iridology is utter baloney, but I know that a certain very few diseases have iris abormalities as part of their diagnostic criteria, such as Lisch nodules in neurofibromatosis. Do any nutritional deficiencies show up in the eye, or specifically the iris? Thanks.
