I can't figure out why people hide what they think. I understand the need to be sensitive, but at the price of honesty? That's despicable.
Example: I have this friend who is an ordinary guy. So he gets married, and we're talking about his wife at a bar. Of course he loves her, and we all got to meet her. She's a good girl- cute and kind. Just a good woman all around.
So me and a buddy are at the wedding. We're watching this immaculate ceremony with that special sense of friendship and virtue. Yadda yadda yadda.
I went to college, and I have a strong biological background. Evolution is a sad reality, one that applies to humans in a very uncomfortable way.
Anyway, we're looking at the bride, and me and my friend are basically talking about what's about to happen 8 hours later. That's nature. Don't you dare deny what this pompus ceremony is designed to hide- that these 2 animals want each other come hell or high water.... And so it should. If we're to be more than animals, we have to find meaning in more than just food and sex.
Anyway, I'm bothered that only me and a couple friends are willing to admit how everyone in that church was really thinking about sex. We're all willing to hide our true thoughts for some odd reason. Myself included... I wasn't about to go shake his hand and say "f- her good, man." But that's what 90% of men think about, except the gay 10% that love other men.
I am NOT some kind of pervert! I believe in things more important than animal behavior, things I would die and kill for (ie- freedom, ala the US military, and all that crap....). I just don't like the way people lie about what they think.
People who are slightly nuts are the real healthy ones. We have a sense of humor. It's the freaks who cover up their thoughts and emotions that are really dangerous.
Soooooo.... that's why I have the internet! I say things here that I only tell my closest friends, including the girl who loves me right now. The internet is intimacy on a grand scale. My hope is by spilling my guts, the ugly wall that divides us will come down. I don't think we'll like what we see, but god damn, we need to know the truth no matter how it hurts! (Or do we????)
