View Full Version : Should Jedi Knight stop authoring new threads?

The poll speaks for itself. The other poll is a waste of time. It will be lucky to get 100 votes. No one will vote 100 votes in favour of one outcome or the other. A more important question is not should Jedi leave this forum alone but should he stop wasting time by starting a new thread whenever the whim gets him?

I find it interesting that he was in the army. A lot of his behaviour could be construed as untreated post traumatic stress disorder. He obsesses over certain issues and makes arcane connexions and has a lot of attention seeking behaviour. These are all symptoms.

Here is one site with symptoms. But it misses the obsessive-compulsive complex that usually accompaines PTSD. (http://www.psych.org/public_info/ptsd.cfm)

Avoidance symptoms affect relationships with others: The person often avoids close emotional ties with family, colleagues, and friends. At first, the person feels numb, has diminished emotions, and can complete only routine, mechanical activities. Later, when reexperiencing the event, the individual may alternate between the flood of emotions caused by reexperiencing and the inability to feel or express emotions at all. The person with PTSD avoids situations or activities that are reminders of the original traumatic event because such exposure may cause symptoms to worsen.

He certainly cannot be spending much time with family and friends with the time he spends here.

I am no psychaiatrist but it is one interesting theory. It just reminds me of a person I knew who once had shell shock.

I voted no. There's only one thing you can do with a whirling dervish. Let 'em whirl!

Well you commie, I lowered the standard. I did it because I know that you, as a commie, enjoy reduced standards. Just get 50 votes. Even a pathetic weasel commie like you can get 50 votes.

Absolutely not! Jedi is the best thing that ever happened to liberals on this board. He's so goofy that even the most staunch conservatives won't support him. You go, Jedi! Recruit some more liberals for us!:D

My poll might scare them off though because it is a democractic tool. My poll sure has enraged the commmunists on the thread. Democracy does that.

Jedi Knight thrives on pissing people off. If you dont want to please him, ignore him. If you think it is fun answering his posts do so. It's as simple as that.

Gosh, Jedi! By your standards, I'm about as communist as you get, but you haven't enraged me. You have entertained me. I love your over-the-top ravings! I figure you are like Carol O'Conner, the actor who played the knee-jerk conservative Archie Bunker on All In The Family. He was a famous liberal in real life, and by playing a complete right-wing moron foil, he helped the liberal cause greatly. I see you as cut from the same cloth. Keep it up, comrade.

People who don't like JK's raving should use the ignore function. He has the write to type whatever he wants, we have the right to type what we want.
Really he works for the Matriarchal Vision!

You're not saying what I think you're saying, are you?

Whenever I start a thread, it's usually because I get a whim to do so.

You mean like this thread? What about filling up the Politics & Current Events board with flame threads like this? I don't see any point to this one other than to talk sh*t about someone. Talk about wasting time.

So long as JK doesn't violate the rules and policies of this forum, he should be able to enjoy the same rights and privileges you and I currently have here.

I couldn’t agree more there isn’t an out cry over shemp’s many threads posted daily that far outnumbered JK’s no offence against shemp but it is still double standards.

To be fair - I think once there was an outcry at the amount of threads he'd started in banter.

Although no one started a poll - oh hang on - he did :)

edited to add he = shemp. :)
