Ah, they’re free to associate with fellow Catholics however they like. Personally, if they did resent living with the average citizen and wanted to only know be around like them, I’d be a bit pleased for them to coalesce.
But that’s not what they are saying, at least. This story has been posted in the political forum, and this article seems to be a tempering of the original story.
"The misconception we're trying to clarify is that this is not going to be a strictly Catholic town. ... I think it would be boring if in fact it was all Catholic," Marinelli said.
He said the town would welcome "synagogues as well as Baptist churches."
Barron Collier executive Blake Gable said homosexuals will be welcome despite the church's belief that homosexuality is a sin.
…
"We're just trying to create an environment where children will be safe on the streets, where they can ride their bikes and play ball in the park," he said. "We're truly just trying to create a town with traditional values."
See, even homosexuals can live there.
Just wait until all those many gays they welcome in begin rallying against child safety, bike riding, ball parks, and traditional values, as they tend to do. It’ll become just like any other city. :)

It is voluntary -- you don't have to live there. That is the essence of freedom. I think what bothers many around here is that people want to live there!
Me, I'm considering getting in shape, then becoming a cable installer or pizza delivery boy there. All those Catholic women with repressed urges, with their husbands not at home...

I wonder if he'll try to ban all pizza except Domino's?
Sounds like hell on earth just for that, really.

LOL... but it's probably safe to say that married Catholic women don't have any repressed urges in that area.

Ehh, when I was in college we'd order mediums for ourselves every night when playing Euchre.
I hadn't yet learned we were supposed to think it yucky because of  politically  correct  reasons.

Um, no, it's yucky because it's yucky, not because the former owner is planning to build a town.
