It's shocking. Where, oh where else can we go to get our daily concentrated fix of Skeptic, Orwell, Mycroft, The Fool, zenith_nadir, webfusion and a_unique_person endlessly talking at one another?
Don't tell me they've all been banned. Where would we go for entertainment?

Its a bit like cycle racing...sometimes we are back in the peloton eating a banana...

Steady on, people! Here in Blighty it's barely 10am. And if all these usual suspects are American, then it's sometime in the wee hours for them. Give Israel/Palestine a chance!
So... uh... (swirls cocktail glass)
Those terrorists are, like, a bummer, right?

Israel. Or Palestine.
Way ahead of you, pal. I live in Jerusalem. Smack dab in the middle. But it's such a boring place, you know. Must log on to JREF forums to find REAL excitement.

Now I can get on with my life (such as it is).

Not to lower the tone of an otherwise excellent thread, but you could also ask who actually starts the most threads on this topc.

Ah, yes, the "I didn't start it, mommy, he did," line of reasoning. I'm happy that in the absence of your usual interlocutors you have risen to the challenge of impugning them. That's why I started the thread, after all. I missed the mature discourse so much.

I am just done with documenting events and hearing the same old "likud this" and "Rabin's assasination that" rationalizations for Palestinian terrorism...
But since you asked ;) :
Mar 20, 2006 (AP) (http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=1745384&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312)
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Palestinian gunmen from the ousted Fatah Party stormed government buildings, briefly took over a power plant and blocked a vital road in the Gaza Strip on Monday, injecting more chaos into the volatile area as Hamas militants readied to take power.
Nine people were wounded in five separate firefights with Palestinian police. The violence was a foretaste of what might happen if Hamas tried to impose its will on Fatah gunmen.
The bloodiest of the five confrontations Monday took place at Gaza's government compound.
Dozens of gunmen also exchanged fire with members of the security forces at Palestinian police headquarters.
Earlier in the day, gunmen blocked a road leading to the main Israel-Gaza crossing point, briefly took over Gaza's power plant and entered a military hospital.
(emphasis mine)
Now back to your regularly scheduled "likud this" and "Rabin's assasination that" rationalizations for Palestinian terrorism...

Dagnabit, they look really happy! Go figure. The really weird thing about Abu Mazen is he looks exactly like my father. No B.S. It rather uncanny how similar they look, including the square-rimmed glasses, grey hair & moustache.

All the current threads are running along with other topics -- this one needed some refreshing!
I just love seeing a car swarm in the evening.
Just now being reported >>>>>>
Islamic Jihad militant Imad Yassin killed in IAF strike in Gaza.
Is this a violation of the 'calm' that HAMAS has been saying it wants?
Does going after people directly involved in launching rockets at Israel constitute a breach of 'war etiquette' that the HAMAS is asking Israel to observe (i.e. - stop firing at us and we'll eventually stop firing at you) ?

Dang it. When a pitcher is pitching a no-hitter, you're not supposed to mention it. When the politics forum is pitching a "no-hate-filled- Israel/Palenstine-discussion-er" you're not supposed to comment either.
