Perjuring lab "experts' is just the latest.
Take his name off the building, and acknowledge that he was not a role model for law enforcement.

WASHINGTON - A prominent FBI science witness told federal investigators that his lab colleagues had performed shoddy work in the Timothy McVeigh case, then abruptly retracted several statements before appearing as a prosecution witness at trial, a transcript shows.

I know I have brought this up before. But there is power in symbolism. The most powerful law enforcement agency in the country should have a better role model than just "he might not have been a blackmailing hypocrite."

This is not just an issue for the US. I think all countries can point to former men and women of renown who turned out to be less than they first appeared. Germany and Russia have certainly put Stalin and Hitler in their rightful place. Less monstrous, but nonethless woeful figures of history still deserve to be treated according to their just deserts.
