Look for the pic from the TAM threads of him standing next to Rob Lancaster. Rob can tell you how tall he is, and you can work it out from there, I guess.

I'd say you are about right in your estimate - he lacks lank! :)

Here's the pic which Zep took of Mr. Randi and myself at TAM4. (http://forums.randi.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=1079&d=1140024578)

I'm 6'1", and it looks as though the top of Mr. Randi's head comes to about the bottom of my chin (not counting my beard).

Luciana says she is 1.62 meters, which is about 63.78 inches, or just shy of 5'4".

Logically, the only way to test this is for me to hug Luciana and see if my chin rests on top of her head.

I look forward to performing said test at TAM5.

Edited to add: I will not hug a Roswell alien to test De_Bunk's statement.

He's not a large man. On Penn & Teller's show he was much shorter than Teller (the small one). I'm guessing 5'3"?

Just curious.

I'm guessing 5'1". Avhienda is 5'4" and she towered over him. I am just under 6' and I bent down to talk to him.

Having seen him reasonably close only once, my guess would be around the 5'1"-5'2" range, which is quite handy for an escape artist.

I have arrived by this figure scientifically, having studied and employed the methodology used by Bigfoot experts in their analysis of the P/G Bigfoot film. Interestingly enough, Randi also has a mid-tarsel break.

Luciana uses Brazilian inches, which are, as we all know, just a tad smaller that US inches. This fact is indisputable.

However, given that it is also a fact that Luciana is way more than just "cute", I understand why one might prefer her figure to mine (taking that in any way you might wish.)

In the case where you ask a question and get two conflicting answers, you'd prefer to just get straight information. Fair enough?

There were three conflicting answers, two from people who are reasonably knowledgable, and one from a smarta$$. I thought that it was pretty clear which one was the smarta$$. It never occurred to me that anyone would take amiss my tounge-in-cheek remark.

Having met Randi several times, I'd estimate him about 5' 2". He has shrank in recent years (I blame the Florida sun), but most importantly his mind, his personality and his sense of humor have not.

I want him back to full strength for TAM5!

In this picture (http://peterman.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=10&pos=1), Randi comes up just to about the bottom of my mouth, and I'm 5'11". But when we took the photo, I was standing on a milk crate and Randi was resting on his knees.

Therefore, I submit that Randi is 7'10", +/- 1/4".

Look, Randi is on his knees in all those photos. He's actually a GIANT.

I have to admit that having only seen him slaying psychics on tv before I thought he was about 8 to 10 feet tall. When I first met him, his presence is such that I still thought he was 8-10 feet tall and fire came out of his eyes!

Now that I know him, he's still the most giant of men that I have ever met.
