As I explained to him, we have a government run by a guy named Dick and another guy named Bush. How much more obvious did they need to make the joke?

That's nothing, for the whole of 2000 there was nothing but Bush and Gore on TV, the whole time. The FCC just couldn't keep up.

"snow job" means clouding the issue or something like that, right?
Its a reference to how freshly fallen snow can cover over problems, for instance, in your yard and make everything look clean and smooth. (I have some experience with the yard thing.)
