Sort of....

A local sculptor was commissioned to do a large bronze by a local foundry, which does such casting. The finished work was a take on "The creation of man" in the Sistine Chapel, with Adam in his accustomed pose, and "God" portrayed as a hunky young black man. "God" is tastefully draped, while Adam's flaccid member is quite visible.
Seems the employees of the foundry became rather incensed over the thing, and took to "draping" Adam with everything from diapers to bunches of flowers. Finally, the foundry erected a wall so as to obscure the work from casual view.

The sculptor became incensed as well and took it down, eventually finding a more congenial venue.

Reminds me of NBC's "coverage" of the unveiling of David last year or so, after the famous work was cleaned and refurbished. The Morning Show managed to have a 5-minute segment without ever showing David's "masculinity". Clever camera work, that, but rather odd. The David is seen by hundreds of thousands of tourists each year....

Several years ago, I was at Missouri Botanical Garden, where there was a life size sculpture of a naked male, genitalia visible and all. Along came a couple of women with their young children, when one of the children, a girl perhaps 6 years old, ran up to the stature and grabbed it's penis as if she were trying to pull it off, with all the gusto a 6 year old could muster. Mom's reaction was quite a thing to behold, a mixture of anger, shame, embarrassment, with a degree of catatonia. I wouldn't have been surprised if blood began pouring from her eyes.

Just another funny nekkid statue St. Louis story...

Seems like that's all anybody does anymore.

Which is ridiculous, where do you think kids' heads and eyes line up in terms of adults.

The most accurate answer I have for that is "various".
