(Unless their is no free will in Heaven)

Heaven must surely be filled exclusively with good people.

However, it seems that the amount of time that God needs to observe his creations (in order to predict their future behaviour) varies quite a bit.

Some die early, some live to be a hundred.
Of some, god says "Yep, I know what you'll be like" the moment they are concieved.
But others, god has to watch in a myriad of situations, over endless days before he is sure whether they belong in heaven or hell.

Hence,
In order to ensure a long life, you must behave in such a way that you confound god's ability to predict your future behaviour. Do something new every day, and you will be around every day to do something new.

If you don't spend most of your life worrying about the alleged afterlife it will seem like you lived longer. Because you can do things you enjoy instead of going to church 1, 2 or more times a week. You wouldn't have wasted a lot of time studying ancient jewish mythological folk tales that were written down over 2000 years ago and it's sequal the 4th century neo-judaic mythological folk tales. Or trying to figure out how it applies to modern life. Just live your life and treat people how you would like to be treated until they give you a good reason not to. (this concept wasn't an original one when the folk tales were written down)

But if you do that every day, God will know you're supposed to go to hell and send you there.

Keep him guessing, and you'll see in the next millenium

GrapeJ713: Do What?

Anything!
If you do the same things everyday, God will figure you out.

C4ts has the right idea.
At the moment, I'm scratching my right ear with my left hand. I can just imagine God now, saying to himself. "Well this one doesn't take the direct route, he likes to explore the possibilities. Maybe he'll see the light, maybe he won't"

How can he let me die when he doesn't know where to send me?

It's worked so far.....
