Five Mexican children were killed when a large metal cross they were praying at was struck by lightning in central Mexico, local media reported.


Might as well have just climbed up the thing and yelled "yoohooooo lightning, O'er here!!". Pinting it white didn't make it any less metallic. Poor kids.

I just can't believe they were so stupid. They made a lightning rod and put people in danger. Stupid stupid stupid.

Yeah, I just can't believe it. It's hard to care about someone who can be THAT stupid. I hope someone gets charged or something. Or maybe I don't care. I just hope nobody around here is that stupid.

Clearly, the large metal cross enraged Zeus, who struck it down with his mighty thunderbolt!

But anyway, they were just kids, and kids do stupid things all the time, sometimes with tragic results. Some of the younger ones might not have known that tall metallic objects attract lightning strikes. At least they weren't climbing on it, because that would have been REALLY stupid. At least the survivors will know better in the future, I hope.

The only one of these stories that was actually funny was when the microphone fell into the baptismal pool. Adults should know better than to plug in electronic equipment near large bodies of water, let alone wear them while standing in it! I blame the South.

I'm not saying the kids are stupid, it's the idiot who erected the thing for poor innocent and less knowing kids to pray around. They should charge the morons who put it there for murder. Sorry if the title seems to mean the kids, I meant the stupid mexicans for erecting a lightning rod like that.
