I enjoyed the commentary, but was sweating bullets, thinking something might have befallen the Great White-Bearded One.

I've said before that televangelists and faith healers are my pet peeve, but I hold a special vitrol for Hinn. A distant relative of mine came to Thanksgiving this year, and treated me to a 45-minute treatise on how wonderful Hinn is, and how much coming back to the church would help me (I wasn't aware I needed the help). This idiot has five kids - all with silly Biblical names like "Hezekiah" and "Ezekiel" - treats his parents like dirt, will not work (and depends on my tax dollars to support him), etc. He spent a few years as a Mennonite, then as a Jehovah's Witness, then as a Mormon, but now has finally straightened things out by following Hinn. Idiot.

I only wish there was a hell for folks like Hinn. I feel so sorry for the parents of that sick child. It's a hard lesson for them to learn, but perhaps they can stop wasting time on people who hold out false hope, and concentrate on enjoying as much time with their child as they can, while they can - whether he is sick or well.
