On this board I have seen the use of the word 'faggot' and the word 'gay' as some sort of derision. Is that reall the best that you can do people, resort to whatever the good old boys say, or whatever the street kids are currently using. Is being gay really an insult?

Scum sucking,
lackbrain,
'booger eating moron',
reject from the K-Mart,
purple butted baboon.
Vapid cretin,
souless materialist
obsessive determinist,
w00-woo apologist.
(Those are some insults)

But using homsexuality as an epithet shows a real lack of imagination.

Warning, I shall call attention to this in the future and recomend that yall watch the Simpsons to learn some creative put downs.

Sheesh, what is this the mainstream botique where we just use the put down of the day, 'but mommy all the other kids were calling him queer','so I suppose if everyone called him a -insert epithet here- then you would too?

Your lack of intellectual capacity and inability to effectively use the language is seriously called into question.

Peace

Smoke out my butt:
An insult depends on the intent of the insulter, but the choice of words is very telling about them.
Like "f**k you". Why is that a bad thing?

Don't know if its true, but years ago (and to some extent now), when used amongst themselves "faggot" was a badge of pride. The folklore at the time said that the term came from the fact that homosexuals were (supposedly) burned along with witches, being used as kindling or faggots of sticks.

Much like other ethnic epithets its a far different thing for those outside the group to use, than amongst the in group.

Like, as well, ethnic, or professional jokes (Polish, lawyer) its a far different thing to make fun of yourself than to be derided by others.

I also hate it when I make a self-deprecating remark, and someone else heaps more on top.

I prefer the insults. At least you know were people are coming from. It frees up the forum.

I hate that too...

Like, when I'm really fishing for a compliment, by saying:

" My mom makes me wear this stupid hat.."

And Sundog says:

" Well, at least it matches your stupid neckerchief." :D

Nothing wrong with a well turned, well deserved insult. The point being making them more artful and clever. You duck-brained twit
;) .
