This looks pretty stupid. As soon as he said H20 becomes HHO, the Non-Plausibilometer pegged. It was already running pretty high when it was shown to be hot to brass but not to touch.

Yeah, there's some porn banners on the site with the movie. Sorry.

Here's the home site for the tech.

A guy here at work claims:

This is old tech, it’s called « Brown’s gas » and is already patented in the US. Apparently this guy found a better way to generate it…

I can't find any reputable-looking info about this.

I found and article that seems to explain it pretty well (http://www.phact.org/e/bgas.htm) after a 30 second Google search.

The "Nobel Prize nominee in xxxxxxx" line is a fairly standard BS detection point. From the Nobel Prize FAQ (http://nobelprize.org/help/faq/index.html) -

Has X been nominated as a candidate for the Nobel Prize, or where do I find a list of Nobel Prize nominees?

According to the Statutes of the Nobel Foundation, information about the nominations is not to be disclosed, publicly or privately, for a period of fifty years. The restriction not only concerns the nominees and nominators, but also investigations and opinions in the awarding of a prize. Nomination information older than fifty years is public. At this web site the Nomination Databases for the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, 1901-1949 and for the Nobel Peace Prize, 1901-1951 are now available. Nomination Databases for the other prize categories will follow.

It is getting more likely, as the years progress, that it's possible for someone to be a known, living candidate so it's always worth checking ;)
