So my mother actually fell for this.

He is currently burried as instructed, 5 feet from the for sale sign, upside down, facing the road......And this is supposed to help the house sell faster...WTF

Kinda like those "statue with instructions" sets that I recently saw in a bookstore. Here's what: you can get a Buddha statue pacgaked with meditation tips, an angel statue plus a book of prayers or something...fo every flavor of belief.
Now this St Joseph...you know all those business tips books that are supposed to help you win in bear AND bull markets? Seems a nice way for real estate people to get some business out of a cold/cooling market.;)
Hey, Bulgaria is in a cooling stage (just wrote a story on that yesterday)- I wonder what magic will pop up to help sell all those newly-built condos.

Our neighbors across the street just did this. Of course, their house is WAY overpriced and their realtor is a lazy SOB, so I don't think even St. Joe is going to help their situation.

What I find intriguing is that the web site has a list of homes for sale. If the statue works as claimed, why would anyone need to advertise?

We have a large "Catholic Supply" store here in St. Louis, and the local paper interviewed the proprietor a couple of years ago on the subject. He said they do a brisk buisness in St. Joseph statues.

Can St. Joseph help if I want to buy a house?
The tradition started as an act of faith and aid to Nuns when aquiring new land or structures for use by the church. Many people believe this tradition then also applies to people who want to purchase a specific property. We do not recommend digging a hole and burying a St. Joseph Statue with out the current owners knowledge and permission.
In other words, hint, hint, hint!
