Barabaro injured out of the starting gate.
Favorite horse in Baltimore Preakness Stakes is taken away by veterinary ambulance, probably never to run again.
Who predicted that tragic outcome? Anyone?

Give the psychics a little time, this just happened. They'll predict it any minute.

Are psychics known for predicting horse races? It seems to me that is an area they'd steer pretty clear of, what with people betting on it and all. It just seems like it would be harder to run from the failures than it is in other instances.

I enjoy betting on the Triple Crown races - not because I particularly like horse racing, but because you might hit a long shot, and the odds of a straight-up winner are better than the lottery. My friends and I each throw $10 into a hat, then pick a horse at random from another hat. Whoever's horse wins gets the money, and gets to pick the charity.
I did not pick Barbaro at the Kentucky Derby (I actually drew "SweetNorthernSaint," but predicted Sinister Minister), and did not get Barbaro today (again, I drew "SweetNorthernSaint").
I did, however, predict that Barbaro would not win the Triple Crown. I am not psychic. The odds were heavily in my favor that he would not, since Triple Crown winners are rare, and Derby winners have, of late, had lots of trouble winning the Preakness.
Sorry to see Barbaro get hurt, though.
