I haven't looked into this in depth, so it could be a joke, but I have a feeling

As it comes with a cash prize, does this qualify as a lottery? Since the chances of winning are completely random, I would say so.

I suspect it is a clever personal information harvesting scheme. Bonus: the people who's information is harvested are already known to be somewhat credulous, and open to silly things.

Yes, they are building a database of gullible people, and running a game of chance disguised as a telepathy contest. I think you've hit the nail on the head.

Advertising a telepathy contest... mmmmm.

To win the tournament, the telepathic player must first sense the tournament keyword, see this word in his or her consciousness, precisely transform the keyword into an image and then to a unique word.

When the player is convinced that he/she knows the word, they should write it on the special form in the section called "Tournament".

Each player can submit only one word per tournament. The word should be spelled correctly in lower case letters (English). Please use a text editor such as Microsoft Word to check the spelling of the word.

I'm curious about the unique word requirement. I suppose if each person sends in a unique word it pretty much precludes a single winner. :rolleyes:

I know what you mean. Why does a website for telepaths need all that text? Why do the particpants even have to read the rules? I mean, all they really need on the page is something concise like "Okay, you know what to do. Now, GO!" The whole thing should be over with in an instant, right?
