I don't think this kind of lying is that bad. It's worse when they actively go out and tell a lie.

Lets say a politician decides to hold a news conference and states:
"Everything I say is a lie."
Is he being honest or is he lying again?
How do we figure out this paradox?

It's very simple. Don't even analyze the words. If his lips are moving, he is lying. ;)

I like the latest invention of political spin, "plausible deniability".
If a politician can provide a denial of something and make is sound reasonable, then he is not lying.
