Well, in theory they had to try to disguise the evidence of al-Zarquwi being wired for demolition since birth, obviously. The fact that they failed to annihilate the evidence would be because of typical Gubmint incompetence - SNAFU indeed.

But in actual fact if you look at the released photographs you can see that there's no way a bomb would fit in that crater, it's just the wrong shape and size. I'm doing some calculations but I'm having trouble finding details of the weapon that was supposedly used due to Mossad blocking my computer.

Have you read any of the "Loose Change" threads? Perhaps if you do you might understand the background to some of the comments here. Some of the things said here have been said seriously about hundreds of innocent victims. Pardon us if we blow off some steam. It's unfortunate for the innocent victims, but it has to be seen in context of who al-Zarqawi was. Would I prefer it if it he could have been arrested peacefully? Sure. Would I prefer it if he could have been neatly shot in the head by a sniper? Sure.

Not true - that was recanted today. There were six total dead - 3 men, 3 women. All adults. All of whom knew who they were dealing with. They got what they deserved.
