The fireworks etc that may be experienced during the first kiss.
Is this a repost? Yes. Did I get an answer? Nah.
Just a reference for one of these stories.

So if there is a scientific explanation, which has been proven and is not speculative, then post it here.

Quit trolling. Unless you have something intelligent to contribute then dont bother posting.

Trolling? Why was that trolling? Admittedly, I may be an intellectual pygmy, but I wasn't attempting to troll.

There is not a scientific explanation for this.

LucyR and jesse;
Sorry if I semed rather blunt, but I took the comment as sarcasm. I dont take sarcasm well when im trying to ask a serious question.

Uh, it is a mystery, maybe it is a thing that we are supposed to do and that generates arousal. I read in some pop science magazine that it may have to do with immune systems looking for compatabile immune systems.

I have read theories like this, too. Maybe I saw it on a Discovery Channel show. At any rate, it starts off with smell; apparently a biologically compatible mate smells good and the smell of someone incompatible turns us off.
Maybe when we kiss we get a closer smell and the exchange of saliva might provide us with further clues.

That's the Histo-immune complex. That is the nature of our various immunities expressed in scent and hormones. It is believed by some researchers that when of age to mate we consciously seek out those with OPPOSITE Immune complexes in order to give the offspring the greatest variety of immunities. Then when the female is pregnant she seeks out those with similar complexes to her own, specifically, her close family, while she is pregnant, and during the nursing period, presumeably to afford her and her family's heir protection.
Part of this research came up because women often complain of lack of sex drive after they begin taking birth control pills. The cause seems to be that many women meet a partner with an appealing immune complex, then begin taking birth control pills which make their body go into the same hormonal cycle as if they were pregnant. Thus the immune complex that was attractive to them perviously is no longer, and their sex drive towards that person is decreased. (Of course this is a working hypothesis.)
