Or so she claims....
We had a big messy accident here Thursday, a semi-trailer rig rammed into a knot of vehicles that were stopping on the highway. After rear-ending a couple of cars, the truck went across the median, struck an overpass, and then the cab (now separated from the trailer) went head-on into an oncoming car.
The "miracle" in question occurred when a 60-pound chunk of concrete knocked off the overpass went through the windshield of yet another vehicle, striking the female passenger on the left side of her chest. She suffered broken ribs, bruises and contusions.
According to her, the pain ceased "as soon as she started praying". In her opinion, "only a miracle could have saved me." (emergency personel on the scene said the windshield absorbed much of the force of the chunk of concrete)
While it's all very well for this woman to think she was singled out for a miraculous rescue, you have to wonder about the 71-year old victim who was killed by the head-on collision with the tractor. Only one miracle per accident?
